Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern use of the Delta Sigma Pi Lambda Pi website at the University of San Diego (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who Can Use the Service

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Recruitment Submissions

If you submit recruitment information, you represent that it is accurate, current, and submitted for legitimate recruitment purposes.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display submitted content solely to operate recruitment and chapter administration workflows.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate applicable law.
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Disrupt or degrade site performance, including by malicious traffic, scraping, or automated abuse.
• Submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, unlawful, or privacy-violating.

Intellectual Property

Site content, branding, and media are owned by Delta Sigma Pi Lambda Pi or used with permission. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without authorization.

Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Clerk, Neon, Vercel, Google Analytics, and Umami Analytics). Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Delta Sigma Pi Lambda Pi is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Delta Sigma Pi Lambda Pi and its officers, members, and volunteers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security risk, or harmed the Service or other users.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes will be in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date when changes are posted. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
