Our Purpose

Established in 1907, Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Our goal in the Lambda Pi Chapter is to contribute to the growth of the Knauss School of Business (KSB) by advocating academic excellence, expansion of network amongst industries, and collaboration with faculty, alumni, and peers.

Professional Development

Our members enjoy high-quality training, events with business leaders, opportunities to mentor and be mentored, and supportive friendships that foster both professional and personal success. From beginning to end during the pledge process we heavily emphasize professional development events that expose pledges to professional skills applicable to their growth throughout their academic and business careers. Delta Sigma Pi provides non-stop professional development opportunities during the school year that extend beyond chapter and are available to all business students. Professionalism is an integral part of the Delta Sigma Pi experience, and our Brothers excel at embodying the principles of young business professionals.

Brotherhood

Delta Sigma Pi fosters not only professional growth but also the development of lifelong friendships among peers within KSB. Our fraternity goes beyond expanding networks with business professionals; it also strengthens bonds among members who share similar goals and ideals. The Brotherhood we cultivate extends well beyond college, offering lasting relationships and universal experiences that enrich members' lives. We emphasize the enduring value of Brotherhood, which continues to play a vital role long after our collegiate years. In addition to our professional development, we host social events that encourage camaraderie and connection. At the local, regional, and national levels, we take pride in our blend of professionalism and social engagement, creating a balanced and enriching experience for all members.

Service

Service to the community is an integral part of the lives of Deltasigs. Delta Sigma Pi believes that one purpose of a business fraternity is strengthening our communities through service. Through support of cultural and civic organizations, we seek to impact the lives of individuals and families near and far. If we wish to further a higher standard of ethics and culture in our community, we must make a commitment to the growth and prosperity of all stakeholders.

As the nation's first co-ed business fraternity, we believe that individuals and organizations benefit from a wide range of perspectives. It is for that reason, and so many more, that we cultivate a culture of respect that broadens our viewpoints and makes us stronger and more effective leaders. A great strength of our Fraternity is a membership as diverse as the business world.

Scholarship

Delta Sigma Pi was founded on the ideals of studying business in universities, and Deltasigs are expected to strive to reach their full scholastic potential. Trying to balance college, family, friends, work, and extracurricular activities can be difficult, but Delta Sigma Pi can help. The Fraternity encourages academic excellence through programming and provides financial assistance through scholarship opportunities.
